MSc in Pharmacology

Course Description

The MSc, taught within the Department of Pharmacology, covers pharmacological principles from the molecular level through to the whole animal. A considerable emphasis is placed on systems pharmacology and the effects of drugs, both harmful and beneficial, in multi-organ systems. The course is intensive and has a substantial practical component. Students spend four months on a dissertation research project within one of the research groups of the Department which may involve collaboration with industry. 2:1 undergraduate degree in a biological, chemical, mathematical or physical science
