The course culminates with a 20,000 word dissertation on a topic directly related to international business.
Studying International Business has been an exciting, challenging and rewarding experience. I did a non-business related undergraduate degree so I wanted to do a Masters that would introduce me to the world of business, as well as enhance my career prospects.
The course touched upon all the key things you need to know and has assured me that I now have a really well rounded view of the business world. The teaching methods have been excellent, involving lots of seminars and in-lecture discussions allowing a better feel for the content, as well as the ability to interact with the diverse group of people on the course. This, as well as the excellent careers service, gave me lots of confidence going into job interviews, which paid off recently as I was offered a position on a management consultancy graduate scheme.
One of the big draws of Nottingham is its links with China and the opportunity to study the second semester at the campus in Ningbo. The chance to study and live in China, where I spent four months living alongside Chinese and international students, definitely influenced my decision to go to Nottingham and was a great experience.
For a business student, the opportunity to get to know how the Chinese work is invaluable and is a unique competitive opportunity that the Business School offers.
I feel a lot more confident going out into the world of work having completed this course.
