This course is suitable for students from any discipline, except those who have previously studied a significant amount of marketing, who are looking to develop their existing knowledge and understanding of marketing in theory and practice.
The course provides students with a comprehensive overview of marketing, leading to careers in marketing or to further academic research and is one of only a few marketing courses in the UK that is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) for a Dual Award.
With this Dual Award you have the opportunity to work towards achieving the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing as part of your degree programme, enabling you to graduate with an enhanced qualification that is much sought after by employers.
Faculty members offer expertise for dissertation supervision in services marketing (financial services, travel and tourism), international marketing, consumer behaviour, not for profit marketing, relationship marketing, consumption and marketing strategy.
Recent graduate Jiyao Xun, credits the course in helping him find a career in Brand Management. After enjoying a successful trainee placement with the Tesco marketing and advertising department, he plans to return to Tesco's head office in Shanghai as a junior brand manager.

Nottingham University Business School has a significant amount of scholarship funding available for Business School MSc students starting in September 2017.Students with a current overall average of 65% (or overseas equivalent) will be automatically awarded a Nottingham University Business School scholarship of 20% and will be considered at the point of offer.Students with the equivalent of >80% will be considered on a case by case basis for a 75% or 100% Nottingham University Business School Dean’s Scholarship for Excellence.Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.
