The foundation route is specifically for students who have a good degree in a Science or Engineering subject but little formal training in Computer Science at degree level. In the first year of the course students study a number of modules (minimum two maximum four)through e-learning, enabling overseas students to study the first year in their home country. Subject to satisfactory completion of the first year modules, students then join us in Manchester on one of our advanced courses. One of the foundation units is credited to your MSc.
The course is over a two year period, thus enabling overseas applicants with low levels of English Language to take additional English courses to raise their competency levels prior to the second year of advanced study in the UK.
