These degrees are offered as part of our research training programme. All three qualifications share a strong taught component including generic foundation and methods course units and subject specific course units.
The programme aims to provide students with:
· a rigorous training in research methods appropriate for doctoral studies; · systematic and critical knowledge of once specific subject area of management research (such as accounting or marketing); · the knowledge and skills to appreciate the growing importance of interdisciplinary research in management; · skills in analysis, argument, independent thinking and effective oral and written self-expression; · transferable employment-related skills so they become lifelong learners able to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of contexts.
Following successful completion of the taught part of the programme students conduct research and write up a Masters dissertation (12,000-15,000 words).
