Course Description

Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science are the studies of the design, development and delivery of new drugs. Researchers in the field have the power to transform patients' lives be developing new treatments for diseases.

As a researcher in the School of Pharmacy, you have the opportunity to liaise with leaders in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and to develop strong national and international collaborations.

High-profile studies are undertaken in areas including personalised care, solid-state drug development, biotherapeutics delivery, bioconjugation and nanomedicine.

Research in the School is grouped around two distinct strands: pharmacy education and community engagement with prescribing, and physical pharmaceutics and drug delivery. Research follows specific thematic topics which link to the School’s areas of expertise and the specialisms of our academic staff.
