To provide an inter-disciplinary approach to the study of the Victorian period. Members of the Department of History of Art and Film, the School of History, and the Centres for English Local History and Urban History, together with members of the School of English, offer a range of perspectives on Victorian literature, art and society in the light of modern cultural and literary theory.
