This is a distinctive programme that provides a comprehensive postgraduate study package in the area of banking and finance law.
The programme will enable you to develop knowledge and skills in relation to the legal rules regulating the financial and capital markets in the UK, as well as at a global level. It will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the international regulatory frameworks in which banks and other financial institutions operate, as well as commercial financial issues such as the legal framework for international syndicated loans, bond issues, secured credit and insolvency.
You’ll investigate and apply the complex rules of banking and finance law to novel problems and real-world and hypothetical scenarios.
The School of Law is offering two scholarships of £2,000 for high-quality students studying postgraduate taught programmes in the School in 2015/16. The Professional Graduate Scholarship is not available to those registering via a School or University agreement.These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

The School of Law is offering six Liberty Scholarships of £3,000 to international students of high academic quality starting a postgraduate taught programme in 2015.These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic performance in your undergraduate degree; the final decision on the award of a Liberty Scholarship will be that of the appointed award panel. The Scholarships have been created to aid those students from countries and/or regions where lack of funding is the biggest barrier to obtaining higher education overseas. The Liberty Scholarship is not available to those registering via a School or University agreement.
