MA History, by Research

Course Description

You undertake research under the guidance of one or two supervisors and are examined exclusively by thesis. Your research should contain your own analysis and conclusions based on your personal study of primary and secondary source materials.

With over 45 academic staff, our research profile is very broad and diverse and we hope to be able to offer you supervision in almost any topic. Our expertise ranges from Britain and Europe to Africa, the Caribbean, East Asia, India, North America, and Russia; from political, social and cultural to religious, military and international history; from the middle ages to the 'War on Terror'.
