This programme is studied entirely in China. It is jointly delivered by the University of Leeds and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and allows experienced Chinese TESOL professionals to gain a deeper understanding of how languages are learned and the strategies used to teach them.
You’ll study current theories of language acquisition, the complex context in which any language learning takes place and different approaches to and strategies for teaching and assessing key language skills.
You’ll be taught at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies by tutors from both universities and be registered as a full-time student at Leeds, giving you access to all of our online library resources – as well as those available at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
MA ICT and Education provides a unique course design. Each module is composed of the combination of the online seminar with other students (including distance learners in other countries) and face-face sessions in the following week in order to compliment the seminar.
The seminar prompted us not only to discuss a range of ICT topics with other students who have different backgrounds, as well as the tutor, but also to practice the realistic ICT learning as a student through the Adobe Connect online conference system.
It is productive and useful to exchange opinions from the global point of view concerning the latest educational issues with other school teachers.
A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) + 2 years’ full time teaching experience.
Recipient: University of Leeds
