Commercial Law (Distance Learning) LLM

Course Description

The course is ideal for those who want to specialise in commerce and aspire to senior positions in business. Graduates from the course have gone to hold senior advisory positions in multinational companies, advising on matters that range from the patenting of computer software to establishing solid corporate governance procedures within their organisation. Examples of dissertations submitted by students in this area include a critical analysis of the legal framework for international commercial transactions, the protection of traditional knowledge, and an analysis of the effect of strong patent regulation on access to medicine, as well as research on arbitration as a method of settling international commercial disputes.

The course also provides an ideal foundation for those intending to pursue PhDs.
