My inspiration has been built on the enthusiastic and hearty support of my course and module tutors, a good course program, the international facilities and environment and all the friendly staff at the University. With their encouraging and interesting lectures, I found the interest and the passion to dive into further research. It has become a challenge and a joy for me to explore the subject area and gain extra knowledge, thanks to my tutor’s efforts.
My Accounting course program consists of fantastic information about international accounting and reporting. The discussion in class is very appealing as it involves the latest and most important accounting issues. Furthermore, I have the valuable chance to study with students from different places such as Libya, Saudi Arabia, India, Britain and Europe, which is an amazing opportunity for me as I can exchange various cultural backgrounds with them and get various insights surrounding different issues.
I have been very pleased with the facilities at the University, especially the well equipped library. The University provides a large collection of books and e-resources. Students have access to various professional accounting journals, which they would not necessarily have had a chance to read before.
The University offers a lot of help and advice for students, not only regarding their study but also on their British experience. I still remember how nervous and lonely I felt on my first days after arriving in the UK. These feelings soon faded away with a fun trip to York and Liverpool, exciting induction weeks and with the help of more simple things like having a personal tutor who I could talk to and share my feeling about my new life in the UK.
Studying at the University of Huddersfield has been an unforgettable and valuable experience for me. I have fully enjoyed my time here as I have been inspired to learn. On obtaining a Masters degree, I will be confident that I can reach my career objective of becoming a Chief Accountant or a Finance Manager. I will also be proud to let my family and friends know that my investment here is worthwhile.
