Coaching is key to driving participation in sport and achieving success. On this course you will build upon your own coaching experience to develop and refine your practice within an inspiring collaborative learning environment. As a student you will engage with a range of contemporary issues and cutting-edge practices in such areas as mentoring, talent identification and sports psychology.
Study takes place in workshops, where students are encouraged to share coaching ideas, solutions and experiences. You will be supported by motivated teaching staff who are actively involved in coaching and hold senior professional positions in specialist areas of sport. You will need at least a 2.1 Honours degree in a sport-related subject. Those with a degree outside of sport or without a 2.1 Honours degree will be considered on an individual basis and must have previous coaching experience. International students need IELTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in any other band) or equivalent.
