Course Description

You develop a strong foundation in the principles and practise of accounting and finance, and understanding of analytical tools required to make appropriate financial decisions. Our MSc students will develop the theoretical and practical skills and qualitative and quantitative tools necessary for the analysis of issues in different areas of accountancy and finance.

Students of the highest merit and potential Subjects: All Subjects will be eligible for our Graduate Business School Merit Scholarship, valued at £5000 each. Worth more than 25% of your tuition fee of the Masters programme you take with us, we have an impressive 50 of these prestigious merit scholarships to award for Masters entry in September 2015. So if you’re heading for or have already achieved UK equivalent First Class (Hons) in your undergraduate degree and looking for a first-rate scholarship

If you are eligible we will contact you.
Upon receipt of a completed application form, successful applicants will be notified of the decision by email from the Graduate Business School office.

At the very latest, we can confirm that successful applicants will receive notification within 7 working days of the closing date.

If you have already applied and been made an offer by the University’s Graduate Business School, we will consider your application form and contact you further if you have also been successful in achieving a scholarship.

Please note that this award is only open to applicants intending to start at Aberdeen in September 2015

You may not apply after you have begun your programme at the University or defer your scholarship to the following year. Please note that late applications for the award for September 2015 entry will be considered on a case by case basis.

Closing deadline

New applicants are advised to submit their application for admission in 2015 as early as possible but please note that the final deadline for submission is midnight on 30th June 2015.

INDIAN MASTERS SCHOLARSHIPs - 20+ Awards

Each scholarship will have a value of £2,000 each and is available on a competitive basis, according to the following criteria:Applicants’ degrees need to be awarded by a recognised UGC accredited University, with normally a First Class Degree, and an excellent record of achievement.

The University of Aberdeen will also now offer 20 Masters scholarships for students from India for postgraduate Masters study in any subject offered by the Graduate Business School – excluding MBA programmes - for the 2015-2016 academic session.

Entry Requirements

A good first degree (equivalent to a British second-class Honours degree) or above in any discipline. The English Language Requirement for all College of Arts and Social Sciences Masters programmes is an IELTS of 6.5 with 6.0 in the writing and reading (or equivalent TOEFL iBT or PTE).
