This programme serves both as preparation for PhD research - by enhancing relevant general social science skills - and as a free standing programme in research methods training. Drawing on teaching skills available both within Politics and International Relations and from throughout the School of Social Science, the programme includes courses on: Qualitative Research Method-ologies; Theories and Issues in Political Science and IR; Research Design and Data Collection, and; Quantitative Research Methodologies.
