This course will enable you to build upon clinical experience and advance your academic standing.
On this course, you will enhance your professional decision-making and critical judgment as well as develop a body of knowledge that will influence paramedic practice.
The course addresses developments in clinical practice and education and therefore aims to integrate theory and practice. This integration, along with the inter-professional (IPL) nature of the course, enables paramedics to translate the philosophy of care into practice, working within and collaborating with inter-professional teams. The modules taken as part of this award are also undertaken by nurses and other health care professionals enhancing the IPL nature of the programme.
The flexibility of choice of the two constrained option modules will allow you to extend your knowledge and skills relating to your work place, leading to innovative approaches to practice, enhanced confidence and decision making skills.
The course team has a wide range of clinical experience and research interests; this includes advanced practice, patient physical assessment, management of long term conditions, urgent care and critical care.
To join the Graduate Diploma in Enhanced Paramedic Skills, you should be practising as a paramedic and registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). You should also have access to a facilitator within their practice setting.
