PG Dip Nursing (Adult)

Course Description

This innovative programme is available to graduates who wish to embark on a career as an adult nurse.

The skills and abilities of the graduate candidate will enable you to respond to the challenges of the programme in order to gain an academic award as well as registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in a shorter timescale than usual.

The course aims to produce compassionate, confident and collaborative practice-ready nurses who will negotiate and deliver intelligent care with compassion and who will become autonomous and able to manage and lead teams.

You will follow themed pathways that are linked to your employment interest and opportunities, learning through a variety of teaching methods including the use of our skills areas. A team of competent and highly skilled lecturers delivers the programme with key lectures provided by experts in the clinical field.

Entry Requirements

You will normally have a first degree of at least 2:2 or above in a relevant subject or at least 2:1 in a non-related degree subject. You will require GCSE English, science and maths at grade C or above (or equivalent). All applicants will be interviewed at a nursing selection day. You must also demonstrate insight into the nature of nursing and the role of the nurse. Occupational Health and Criminal Record Checks will be carried out.
