This course offers an exciting opportunity to explore this expanding field of advanced practice and is aimed at all those working in areas of advanced practice within their respective primary or secondary care organisations.
This programme will provide you with the skills and knowledge to practice at the cutting edge of advanced practice. It focuses on, and explores, both the professional and practice elements essential to work at an adavnced level of practice. Importantly it maps against the skills and knowledge framework to assist career development.
Stage one - PGDip, core modules: - Advanced Practice: Leadership, Management and Professional Issues - Health Assessment of the Adult
Stage two - PGDip, optional modules: - Clinical Decision Making for Advanced Practice - Applied Research for Health Care Practice
Stage three - MSc only, core module: - Dissertation
You must be a registered healthcare practitioner, e.g. Nurse, Physiotherapist and have a minimum of two years post-qualifying experience. In addition you must hold a minimum of 60 credits at Level 6 and be currently employed in a relevant clinical practice area.
