MSc Management

Course Description


By combining theory and research, this programme will help you learn more about the science of management from an evidenced-based perspective, no matter what your previous background is. Students will study leading literature on business management and will learn how to do research on business management in a safe environment, supported by high quality researchers with international recognition.


You will have the opportunity to choose between two possible career paths: a Research Path, including a dissertation, where this Master's is a bridge to a PhD. Or alternatively, you can pursue a Professional Path, where you work towards advancing your skills to graduate and join employment with a company. Students get advanced knowledge on different areas of management i.e. finance, corporate governance, marketing, innovation, organisational behaviour, research methods.

Funding for postgraduate study is available both from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and from a number of external schemes. Applicants should note that many award schemes have early closing dates and may require the acceptance of the offer of a place as a condition of eligibility. If you wish to apply for funding you are therefore strongly advised to apply to Norwich Business School as early as possible in the year of entry. Please indicate in your application that you wish to be considered for an award.Norwich Business School, within the Faculty of Social Sciences at UEA, has an excellent research and teaching profile with strong international links to institutes, organisations, international networks and research councils both throughout Europe and globally.

Entry Requirements

Open to applicants with a First or 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in any subject, including Business. Exceptional applicants who do not meet the standard admission criteria will be assessed on an individual basis and may be required to provide further materials.
