MSc Finance and Management


Course Description

Study:

This programme is designed for candidates wishing to acquire expertise in accounting and finance, while developing the necessary skills for general management roles as well. The course builds on Norwich Business School's existing partnerships with Norwich's Financial District, which is one of the largest in the UK.

Structure:

The taught modules will give students a clear understanding of the role of accounting, finance and other general management disciplines to ensure successful operations in a range of business settings, including financial, non-financial and public sector organisations. Teaching is provided by members of academic staff, often in a relatively informal learning environment, incorporating lectures, seminars, and practical work. Assessment is usually by essays and other written assignments, written or oral examinations, and projects.

The Postgraduate MSc degree programmes offered by Norwich Business School adopt an approach to teaching and learning which is designed to promote academic achievement as well as developing the potential for future managerial excellence.

Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia – Postgraduate Scholarships - 20+ Awards

Funding for postgraduate study is available both from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and from a number of external schemes. Applicants should note that many award schemes have early closing dates and may require the acceptance of the offer of a place as a condition of eligibility. If you wish to apply for funding you are therefore strongly advised to apply to Norwich Business School as early as possible in the year of entry. Please indicate in your application that you wish to be considered for an award.Norwich Business School, within the Faculty of Social Sciences at UEA, has an excellent research and teaching profile with strong international links to institutes, organisations, international networks and research councils both throughout Europe and globally.

Eligibility

A variety of Scholarships and Bursaries may be offered to Home/EU and International students. These are usually awarded to students on the basis of academic merit.

Entry Requirements

Degree Subject All subjects* (excluding UK degrees in a business-related subject, for which our Academic & Professional Courses are more suitable). Degree Classification Good 2.2 or equivalent. *Degrees in dance, drama, music, sport, art, and art and design will be considered on a case by case basis and are reviewed closely for their academic content.
