Colorectal Surgery is the largest sub-speciality in General Surgery and this course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Colorectal Surgeons. The course complements current training systems and prepares students for a future career in a Coloproctologist post.

The centre of the course is a flexible e-learning hub where all learning and forum discussions take place; where all students’ training needs are met, from access to directed reading, to feedback from course tutors resides. This allows students to study in a goal-directed way by organising their own time commitments. The course also includes problem-based learning scenarios, researching literature, ensuring theory and practice are based on strong scientific principles, and a research project with mentoring support, both online and locally.
