This innovative MA has been designed to meet the needs of an industry undergoing dramatic technological and commercial changes and offers you the chance to gain a foothold in the hugely popular and competitive publishing industry. It explores all aspects of the publishing industry, including editorial and content development, design and production, sales and marketing, and business success and entrepreneurship.

You will develop key skills and knowledge to give you the edge in a range of dynamic and rewarding careers. You will also gain insight not just into editorial functions but also aspects of the business such as leadership and management, project management, marketing, intellectual property law, and finance.

Entry Requirements

A good honours degree (1st or 2:1) is required in any subject, or applications may be considered if you have a 2:2 honours degree and can demonstrate significant publishing or related industry experience or aptitude. Examples include a period of work at an appropriate level within publishing or a related industry, or a portfolio of work or achievements in a related discipline such as, for example, English, Business, Law, Graphic Design, etc.International students should have the above or an international equivalent. If English is not your first language, you will need to hold IELTS 7.0 or above.
