Education Professional Practice (with pathways) MA

Course Description

Enhance your current learning and work towards a specialist pathway in education. We offer a focused degree that allows you address areas for pupil and school improvement. You'll take on modules covering every aspect of education through flexible online resources and learning activities, applying your interests and current experience to help you specialise in your strengths.

Our experienced team uphold high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, helping you get the most out of your course to provide meaningful progression into education. Paying fees in instalments allows for greater flexibility and balance, and each 10 credit module lets you experience master-level working without having to commit to the full programme before you're ready. Get involved in a fully engaging course that will help you become an expert in your field, and get started on a future as a leader in education.

Course outline

Our programme allows you to study at your own pace towards your specialist pathway. You can register and pay for one module at a time, allowing you to focus on your interests and spread out the cost along the course. We have six specialist pathways available, as well as a dissertation module.

We establish a learning community that supports and challenges students in a wide range of educational contexts. You'll gain mastery of knowledge, understanding and skills to respond effectively to challenges in the ever-changing world of modern education.

Graduate destinations

You can advance to a full MA (180 credits), a postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) or a postgraduate Certificate (60 credits). There are also opportunities for accreditation of single modules, ranging from 10-30 credits.

Specialist pathways can lead to enhanced career opportunities including Early Years, Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Teaching and Learning, Inclusionary Practice and Faith School Leadership.

Entry Requirements

1st or 2nd class honours degree. Students with other qualifications may be admitted to the course via Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) procedures.
