The learning focus of the MSc in International Business and Finance is to enable you to acquire a broad, robust and practical knowledge of business administration and finance in a global business context. The essential knowledge and skills required of international business managers are covered in Term 1. This leaves Term 2 to conclude with integrative modules (strategy and research methods) and specialist finance modules. The successful completion of your research project in Term 3 will enable you to gain your MSc in International Business and Finance.

Over the past few years, we’ve redeveloped both of our campuses so that you have the best facilities available for your degree. We pride ourselves on the quality of the learning environment we can offer our students. We offer a substantial collection of books, journals and other materials to help you further your research. A range of study areas for group and quiet study including Wi-Fi areas for laptop use are available, or you can use our open access PC and Mac areas.
Our Learning Resource Centre is the hub of the learning environment. It has two upper floors of library resources, one for silent study and one for quiet study, both of which have recently been refurbished. On the ground floor, you’ll find the Support and Information Zone, Media Centre, Otter Gallery, Costa Coffee and a variety of IT resources. It also offers:

At Bognor Regis campus there is an integrated approach to the provision of learning resources and support. Just like Bishop Otter campus, we offer thousands of collections of books, journals and other materials to help you further your research.
Our brand new, award-winning Learning Resource Centre is at the heart of the campus. It hosts a modern library service with areas for quiet and silent study on both floors. Also situated in the LRC is the Support and Information Zone, Costa Coffee and over 80 open access work stations. An equipment loans centre offers laptops, tablets and other electronic devices for short and long term loans.
Where this can take you This programme focuses on developing your managerial and general business knowledge and skills required to operate successfully and excel in an international business environment. You will develop the cultural awareness to enable you to make an impact in an international commercial environment. After completing the course, you will have a strong grounding in international business and will be well placed to pursue careers relating to international business within a range of organisations or business environments.
Work placements We understand the importance of ensuring that you have the knowledge, skills and experience to compete successfully in today’s challenging jobs market. As such, we offer an extensive range of study abroad opportunities. Our programmes will provide you with first-hand experiences of multi-cultural work through helping you to undertake work experience with a number of leading companies based across the south of England.

Dissertation (60 credits) The purpose of the dissertation is to complete an original and independent business research project. The dissertation will develop your research, analysis, synthesis, and business writing skills. The research project will focus on your chosen specialised area of International Business and Finance. Assessment To gain the Master's degree students need to complete eight modules and a dissertation of approximately 15,000-words.
