The EdD programme is designed for graduate professionals who are interested in researching any aspect of education, either within or outside of the traditional education sector.
The programme is highly relevant to practice and to the exploration and development of professional work. It is modular in structure, with the complete EdD consisting of six taught modules and a thesis. The thesis focuses on an aspect of practice and should contribute to professional knowledge through research.
Study is through the use of web-based materials and weekend schools which are held throughout the year and at which attendance is compulsory.
Normally students will have completed a Masters Degree before enrolling on the Education Doctorate.
Recipient: University of Chester
