Professional Studies

Course Description

This programme is aimed at all health practitioners, including registered nurses from all disciplines, midwives, health visitors, social workers and other professionals allied to health care (AHPs).

Practitioners in health and social care are working in an ever changing environment, and have a diverse range of demands made on them in order to meet both employers’ requirements and their own educational needs. Similarly practitioners’ roles and responsibilities may change, so their educational direction needs to be changed. The programme offers the flexibility for practitioners to choose from a range of modules to suit their needs.

The criteria for entry to the programme will be a recordable professional qualification in the health and social care field. Applicants should normally hold a first degree (min 2:1)
