Specialist Community Public Health Nursing

Course Description

The programme is 50% theory and 50% practical. The theoretical component is undertaken at the University and the practical component in a clinical setting, under the supervision of a qualified professional Practice Teacher from the chosen specialist pathway.

Core modules include:

• Health Improvement and Wellbeing in Action
• Health Improvement and Wellbeing in Context
• Research
• Leading Innovative Contemporary Practice
• Dissertation (for the award of MSc)


Entry Requirements

A first degree in a related subject (minimum of second class honour) with evidence of continuing professional development. The criteria for entry on to the programme will be registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the chosen pathway.
