Work Based Learning Facilitation

Course Description

The programme is aimed at those about to assume the role of Associate Tutor on the Work Based and Integrative Studies programme and is accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Students who successfully complete the programme will be able to register as a Fellow of the HEA. Students will develop the skills required to facilitate and assess work based learners involved in Higher Education programmes of study.

The programme is delivered over 3 full-day workshops complemented by online resources and tutorial support.


Entry Requirements

A first degree or equivalent work related experience and be in a position to facilitate HE students on a work based learning type programme of study. Ideally, participants will either be HE lecturers or approved Associate Tutors of the University and have appropriate interaction with students in order to meet requirements for Higher Education Academy Fellowship upon completion.
