Sport, Leadership and Management

Course Description

Sport is a global business as well as a key device in improving and developing society, bringing about change for individuals, groups and communities. Professional management and leadership is essential to ensure that maximum benefits are realised, whether for commercial pursuits, competition, lifestyle or social development. Sport for health and leisure is a rising agenda item for governments who see it as a device to bring about substantial change. This course provides a blend of critical management theory with an understanding of sport development and leadership in a range of contexts. Taught at Warrington Campus.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in any discipline will normally be required*. Prior experience of business and/or management is not required for entry onto this programme.*Applicants who have extensive experience and who demonstrate they have the academic potential to complete the award may be considered for entry.
