This course is designed to support students who wish to move into managerial positions within the health services industry and who wish to complement their previous professional or academic qualifications or to build upon workplace experience. It combines insights to public and private health care services, in a global context, with contemporary management theory. The industry has seen a shift towards ‘professional managers’ who can deal with complex and dynamic environments. These managers have to deal with financial, human and physical resource challenges in an environment which has critical quality requirements. Taught at Warrington Campus.
A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in any discipline will normally be required*. Prior experience of business and/or management is not required for entry onto this programme.*Applicants who have extensive experience and who demonstrate they have the academic potential to complete the award may be considered for entry
