Archaeology of Death and Memory

Course Description

A cross-period and geographically broad programme that will allow students to study, and gain advanced expertise in, the archaeological study of how past societies are remembered and commemorated their histories and mythologies. Students have the opportunity to investigate death, burial and commemoration in both prehistoric and historic societies from across the globe, as well as the archaeology of the human body and 'the past in the past'.
