Social Work (PGCert) Post-qualifying framework

Course Description

About the Course

The aim of this programme is to develop confident well rounded practitioners working in inter-professional and inter-agency contexts, demonstrating competence in a range of key areas including direct work with service users, families and carers, self management and use of supervision, mentoring and practice education. As practitioners you will also develop a range of in-depth knowledge and skills associated with competence a particular area of specialist social work practice.


This modular programme offers undergraduate and postgraduate routes with the option of a top-up degree:
Graduate or Postgraduate Certificate in Post-qualifying Social Work
BA in Social Work

The programme is at the specialist level with two pathways in:
1.Children and Young People and their Families and Carers
2.Work with Adults

Entry Requirements

Qualified and registered social workers who have completed their probationary requirements. Applications are made through the candidates organisation usually the training manager. You will be sponsored by your organisation.

Course Fees

UK/EU: £585 ** International: £1,375 ** **. 15 credit module fee. Students will normally take 3 modules per academic year.
