International Financial Regulation and Corporate Law LLM

Course Description

About the Programme

International Financial Regulation and Corporate Law LLM is designed for graduates seeking to gain a solid foundation into the growing discipline of financial regulations and corporate law in the international context. The programme focusses on the conceptual and theoretical aspects of substantive law and regulation in the field; the procedural mechanisms for the application of law; the challenges faced with the evolution of principles, rules and procedures; and the wider impact that regulations have on the wider society. Beyond the conceptual and theoretical focus, the course also covers the practical aspects of financial regulation in the domestic and international context. Brunel is one of the only law schools in the UK to offer this innovative programme.

Brunel Law School modules are 15 creadits each, and enables our students to design flexible pathways to suit their interests.

The Brunel International Scholarships and Academic Excellence Scholarships (Postgraduate) - 20+ Awards

The Brunel International Scholarship Programme is an annual award run by the Brunel International office that is open to all international students. Its goal is to provide financial support to exceptional students. Scholarship holders will go on to represent Brunel as ambassadors throughout their time at the University. The deadline for applying for the 2014/15 programme is 25 May 2014 and all applicants will be notified of the panel's decision by the middle of July.For 2014/15, thanks to the generosity of Brunel’s alumni and supporters, we are pleased to be able to offer 37 awards, which will comprise a 15% discount on the cost of tuition fees. These awards are open to Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research students who are classed as overseas for fee purposes. Academic Excellence Scholarships (Postgraduate) – Automatic 15% tuition fee discount, unlimited to those who meet the conditions

Entry Requirements

The normal requirement for admission to the LLM will be a good undergraduate honors’ degree in law (or overseas equivalent) and an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent. The Course Director may consider other cases based on applicants’ qualifications, experience and potential to successfully undertake and complete the course.
