This part-time course which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), will develop your understanding of HR and the organisations within which HR operates. If you are looking to broaden and develop your people management skills, this is the course for you.
Using critical analysis, self-reflection and problem-solving techniques, you will learn how to develop and implement creative and strategic HR solutions that drive organisational performance.
The course aims to:

The course is taught one day per week (afternoon and evening combined) over two years. However, if your circumstances change you can exit with a postgraduate certificate after one year.
On successful completion of this diploma-level course, you may apply to become a CIPD Chartered Member. This signals your professional credibility to employers, clients and peers.
Guest speakers provide an opportunity to meet and network with successful HR professionals. These informal talks address contemporary issues, providing theoretical and practical insights.

You will study a total of seven modules over two years.
If your circumstances change, you can exit the course after one year with a postgraduate certificate.

Applicants are expected to have experience of working in HR. Exceptionally, candidates without HR experience looking to enter the profession may be accepted provided they hold a degree.Entry on to Year 2 Direct entry to PGDip Year 2 is possible for candidates with equivalent qualifications to the first year of the PGDip. Normally these will be the CIPD core modules.
