The Bradford Executive MBA in the UK

Course Description

These are challenging times for businesses – but even more challenging for the senior managers and executive teams running them.

With fewer growth opportunities, how do you maximise the assets in your business to be competitive? How effective are you in your role?

Managers have to be more creative than ever before. You can’t rely on doing the same as you always have. To be effective in your current role or in more senior positions, you need progressive thinking and sharper strategic and financial skills.

Just as businesses and managers have had to change, so we have re-engineered our Executive MBA to reflect our changing times. The Bradford Executive MBA will enable you to perform more effectively at senior levels, giving you the sharp strategic, financial and people skills to do just that.

The Executive MBA is an exciting, contemporary and practical programme, the focus being on cutting edge learning theory and real life application. From Day 1 you’ll be able to take back to your workplace everything you’ve learned so far, demonstrating your ongoing skills change. Teaching is complemented by one to one coaching and personal development planning, helping you to focus on the right career direction.

You will learn

Big picture thinking, leadership, innovation and creativity
To find new markets and create strategies to deliver success in them
How to use financials to map strategy and measure success
To create structured pathways to analyse complex business issues
To decide which strategic investments will deliver the strongest results
The skills and tensions of senior management teams and how to ensure their effectiveness.

As a senior manager, you have limited time, a heavy workload and, possibly, family commitments. So, our programme is designed to cause minimum disruption to your schedule. We teach over block weekends of three or four days (Thursday or Friday – Sunday) allowing intense periods of study followed by reflection and assignments. Teaching takes place approximately every six weeks allowing you to plan your two year diary with confidence. The taught element of the programme lasts for 24 months, with a further four to complete your management project.
