The MSc in Health and Social Care Management is a flexible, part time programme designed for middle and senior managers in health and social care who wish to combine academic study with the application of learning to the workplace.
The courses are highly flexible to fit with increasingly busy working lives of health and social care managers and are designed to support the learning needs of managers and aspiring managers wishing to develop management skills within the context of increasing managerial responsibility.
Special Features These programmes are accredited by the the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Successful completion confers eligibility to students to apply for registration as a member of CMI and to achieve an additional CMI qualification (on payment of an additional fee) which is awarded alongside the academic award.
The CMI qualifications which can be obtained are as follows:
PG Certificate - Level 7 CMI Award in Strategic Management and Leadership PG Diploma - Level 7 CMI Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership MSc - Level 7 CMI Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership
Student should normally have already achieved a degree or equivalent professional qualification. Studnts who can demonstrate that they have worked academically at Master's level will also be considered. All applicants should have at least two years' work experience in a public service environment, or should be able to demonstrate two years' work experience in another sector, with a view to moving into public services in the future.
