This MSc programme is designed to offer an advanced degree for students who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of the use of information technology in modern business environments. Rising above the technology, on this course students take a broad view of the management and exploitation of information systems in modern business. This higher level focus makes it a popular course among those in IT management positions.
If you are looking to move into computing from another discipline, but do not have a technical background, this course will be suitable for you. Alternatively, you may have already studied IT or computing and be looking to gain broader skills that will allow you to move into an IT management career.
You will gain a deep understanding of information technologies and their use in modern organisations. This will include a clear understanding of current and emerging problems in information systems. You will also gain insights into how these problems can be overcome by utilising recent innovations to provide solutions in a business environment.
