Course Description

Overview

This programme is suitable for doctors, nurses and any other health care professionals aiming to acquire specialised skills and qualifications in primary and community care; for example covering all dimensions required in line with the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework.

Aimed at providing all primary health care professionals with skills and academic requirements for specialist clinical practice within the community, as well as research skills and health service evaluation, this course is suitable for those aiming to acquire specialised skills and qualifications in primary and community care, including:

- experienced doctors
- doctors in training
- community and practice based nurses
- pharmacists
- any other health care professionals

The programme is unique, combining both academic and clinical aspects of community and primary care and, as such, would provide a clinically applicable higher level of academic achievement. The clinical modules will offer academic and professional accreditation through recognised professional bodies.

Entry Requirements

Relevant first degree or equivalent professional qualification. International students - Please note that to be eligible to gain the full MSc/PGDip/PGCert in Clinical Primary and Community Care you must be working in the UK NHS.

MSc: £6,570FT / £3,285 PT; PGDip: £4,380 FT / £2,190 PT; PGCert: £2,190 (UK/EU), £18,900 (overseas)
