Course summary

This is an exceptional opportunity for students to acquire skills that employers around the world are desperate to secure. This course therefore offers students an opportunity to meet the global and local ‘digital skills gap’.

On a global level the European Union wishes ”to close the digital skills and jobs gap in Europe” by featuring the gap on its Digital Agenda for Europe 2020, and locally E-Skills (the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology) reports that the next five years, employment for technology staff is forecast to grow around 2.5% per annum on average, a rate more than three times higher than that predicted for UK employment as a whole. This course offers students an avenue to meet this gap.
