European Union in a Global Order provides you with a theoretical and empirical understanding of the EU’s external relations. It deals with the idea of a double movement, with a dual focus: on the internal determination of the EU’s external relations and actions, and on the impact of global developments, challenges and threats on foreign policy-making at the European and Member State level. It offers you a theoretically and methodologically pluralist and interdisciplinary programme. The programme’s focus is on the EU’s external, international, foreign relations rather than politics or economics.
The MSc Programme in European Union in a Global Order seeks students with an academic Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a social sciences discipline closely related to the programme, such as political sciences and international relations. All applicants are expected to have a solid basis in the field of (European oriented) political science of at least (an equivalent of) 30 ECTS credits earned during previous study. International diplomas are evaluated on the basis of advice from professional diploma evaluators. The minimum level of the diploma should be equivalent to three years of Dutch university education.
Recipient: University of Amsterdam
