This one-year track of the Master's programme in European studies offers insight into various aspects of the European identity and the process of European integration. Students investigate the nature of Europe and the development of the idea of Europe that ultimately led to the founding of the European Union.

Accreditation and degree The quality of this Master's degree has been accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of The Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This means that upon successful completion of the programme students will receive a legally recognised Master of Arts (MA) degree in Europese studies (European Studies).
Applicants for the Master's programme should have at least a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a relevant field. The level of the Bachelor's degree must be comparable to that of a Dutch Bachelor's degree.General entry requirementsApplicants must also fulfil the general entry requirements of the Graduate School for Humanities regarding academic background, grade average and English language proficiency.
