The track Gaming provides you with expertise in the field of game-oriented systems. You will learn methods and techniques for the design and implementation of intelligent multimedia systems such as games (console, Internet or platform-specific) and other general game-oriented systems. Past and current computer games are covered with a special focus on game-AI. This programme provides knowledge on:
* game programming, * serious gaming and simulations, * learning in games, * multimedia analysis.
Both human-computer interaction and visualisation techniques are covered from the perspective of image processing, computer vision, virtual reality, and multimedia systems. The emphasis of this programme is on the application of AI for gaming, such as learning and intelligent techniques, (e.g. machine learning and pattern recognition), automated learning, and multimedia understanding.
Besides the core curriculum the following courses are offered in the Gaming track:
* Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (track course) * Game Programming (track course) * Scientific Visualization and Virtual Reality
