Earth Surface Processes


Course Description

The MSc in Earth Surface Processes is one of four MSc tracks in Earth Sciences offered by the Universiteit van Amsterdam. It focuses on processes in water, soils and landscapes on various spatial and temporal scales. Emphasis is laid on the role of Earth surface processes within relevant societal themes such as sustainability, environmental management and risk assessment. Examples are land degradation and erosion, soil organic matter transformations and related metal and nutrient fluxes. The topics are approached in a quantitative way combining experimental, measurement and modelling techniques.

Entry Requirements

A BSc in Science, with a preference for a BSc degree in Earth Sciences but Biology or other Natural Sciences may be possible as well.
