Earth and Environmental Sciences


Course Description

The MSc in Earth and Environmental Sciences is one of the four MSc tracks in Earth Sciences offered by the Universiteit van Amsterdam. It focuses on environmental problems within the Earth Sciences, with the emphasis on environmental soil chemistry, environmental toxicology and general environmental sciences. The fate of various contaminants in the geo-ecosystem compartments are studied. Courses offered include Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Soil Chemistry, and Soil Physics and Environmental Studies. Furthermore, courses on Environmental Law, Environmental Policy, Environmental Risk Assessment and Environmetrics can be followed.

Entry Requirements

A relevant Science degree with a preference for a BSc in Earth Sciences but Biology or other Natural Sciences may be possible as well.
