The MSc in Computational Bio- and Physical Geography is one of the four MSc tracks in Earth Sciences offered by the Universiteit van Amsterdam. It focuses on the quantitative analysis of landforms and processes. The programme is founded on the philosophy that concurrent use of data and models is a prerequisite for posing and testing theories concerning the functioning of geo-ecosystems: What can we learn from measurements, from modelling and from combining both? Courses offered by CBPG include: Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Environmetrics, and Modelling Geo-ecological Systems.
