University College Dublin MA Women, Gender and Society Full-time and part-time
Women’s Studies is a dynamic and exciting field of inquiry which draws on the insights and politics of feminist and gender theories to develop new and more complex understandings of Ireland and global society. The MA Women, Gender and Society explores the principal theoretical frameworks of gender and feminist theory, politics, and practice. Key concepts and discourses will be explored across social dividing lines such as class, ethnicity, sexuality, (dis) ability and age. Our courses are structured around core and option modules covering a wide range of areas: feminist theory and politics; gender and globalisation; sexualities and masculinities; gender inequality and public policy; women’s history and literature; human rights. We also provide a Graduate Diploma, M.Litt and PhD on a full-time or part-time basis. We welcome applicants from a wide range of background, experiences, interest and ambitions, recent graduates as well as mature students. Our graduates work in public, private and NGOs involved in many areas including policy-making, research, teaching and community activism.
