MSc Nursing (Nurse Education)

Course Description

The MSc Nursing (Nurse Education) is aimed at preparing the registered nurse’s to develop a repertoire of knowledge and skills for teaching nursing students who are candidates on the An Bord Register. The programme is particularly targeted at nurses who already hold a masters degree in nursing or a related area. It aims to prepare the nurse to assume the role of registered nurse tutor (RNT). It will build on your existing knowledge and skills within nursing and will prepare you to teach this subject in the clinical and classroom setting. For more see www.ucd.ie/nmhs

Entry Requirements

Hold a degree in Nursing/Midwifery degree or equilalent. Be entered onto the appropriate division of the Nurses Register maintained by An Bord Altranais Have at least three year’s experience in clinical nursing at time of attending the first day of class in semester one Candidates must be employed in a teaching environment prior to commencing the course and for the duration of the course
