Professional Certificate Pathophysiology of Rheumatic Disease

Course Description

This Professional Certificate is designed to equip health care professional caring for patients with rheumatic diseases with the necessary theoretical knowledge of the discipline of rheumatology. The aim of this module is to enable students to develop a sound understanding of the theoretical knowledge associated with rheumatic disorders.Particular emphasis is placed on recent national and international research findings and/or evidence-based guidelines and recommendations aimed at ensuring optimal outcomes for patients with rheumatic disorders.This is a one semester programme. Entry Requirements

Have a primary degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.Nurses must be registered on the live register maintained by An Bord AltranaisOther health care professional must be registered with a recognised professional body Clinicians must be employed in either rheumatology/community/GP practice setting for the duration of the programme (Minimum of 75 hours per month).
