MSc in Business Analytics

Course Description

If you are looking for a career in management consultancy, software design, decision support systems, operations research, information technology or logistics management, you need the Master of Management Science.

Designed to improve your software development skills, build your knowledge and experience of management science techniques the programme enables you to use these skills in a problemsolving environment. In addition, a variety of
courses discuss the implementation of these approaches using information technology.

Programme structure
The learning process includes lectures as well as both group and individual project work. Students work individually on computer programming assignments, while other systems projects and the dissertation are completed as group projects with regular presentations.

Dissertation projects, presented in September, involve full-time work on a real management problem, generally with an Irish company. They should be mathematically complex with a computer-programming element.
Assessment by examination and project work
counts for up to 40% of your grade.
Careers
Graduates of the programme work in software
design, decision support systems, information
technology, management consultancy and
operations research.
