This Masters provides education, and skills in managing/co-ordinating voluntary sector and community organisations. It will contribute to the ongoing professional development of workers already in the community and voluntary sector as well as opening up the door to wider opportunities in the sector for those seeking employment there. It is taught part-time one day a week over two years and includes an Easter School. Teaching involves eight differing Depts in the University and includes Law, Government, Accounting, Management, Economics, Co-operative Studies, Information Systems and Social Policy. A candidate for the MSoc.Sc. in Third Sector Management must:(i) Must have obtained a standard of at least a Second Class Honours in an approved primary degree.(ii) Normally have a minimum of two years recent and relevant work experience (e.g. practitioners/managers in youth work, play work, community work, community education, the community and small voluntary sectors, community renewal and enterprise, community health workers, equality workers, and environment workers).(iii). Satisfy a selection committee.English Language Requirements:IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL equivalent
